This Autumn Edinburgh has an exciting array of drinks festivals that caters for lovers of fine wine, rum, beer, coffee, and exquisite cocktails amongst others. Here’s our pick of the best…

Rum Festival

It may be getting chilly outside but the Rum Festival is bringing some Caribbean and Cuban sunshine to the Assembly Rooms, with rum, cocktails, food and music from around the globe. Throughout the event there will be live entertainment and dancing, over 100 different rums including new and exclusive rums, talks from rum industry experts, tasty food to buy and above all lots of fun.

Edinburgh Coffee Festival

The Edinburgh Coffee Festival will return for its fifth year at the iconic Edinburgh Corn Exchange. It promises to be a must-see occasion for coffee enthusiasts from across the country. Visitors can expect to see handpicked artisan coffee roasters, specialty tea stalls, cafes and coffee equipment suppliers. As well as getting the chance to experience all the products on offer, they can also learn from experts in interactive workshops, tastings and demonstrations.

Edinburgh Cocktail week

Following its popularity last year, the Cocktail Village returns to Festival Square and is set to be even bigger in size and experience with a new enchanted Cocktail Forest themed extension, 19 pop-up bars, live music and a cosy covered outdoor street food area. They are also introducing “Cocktail Domes” this year on the rooftop garden of The Glasshouse Hotel. These transparent domes will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy views of Edinburgh’s stunning skyline while sipping on a cocktail and snapping Instagram-worthy pictures.

Edinburgh Oktoberfest

Edinburgh Oktoberfest takes place in a tent next to West Princes Street Gardens. The area is transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest with live music and a great atmosphere that allows you to experience Bavarian culture for a day. As well as the traditional beer you can enjoy food like Bratwursts, Schnitzels and Pretzels.

Festival of Wine

The Edinburgh Festival of Wine, an unmissable day for the capital’s wine lovers is coming to the Balmoral Hotel this Autumn. There will be over 300  wines on tasting – included in your ticket price – fantastic discounts if you choose to buy, and a superb programme of masterclass tastings with some of the world’s greatest wines.
